What We Do

Black Girls CHEER Ambassadors are charged with spreading positivity on the role that diversity and inclusion can play even in the realm of cheerleading. They are the defensive line as it relates to combating negative stereotypes about cheerleaders of color, and therefore will serve as role models for cheerleaders around them. They are responsible for sharing the mission behind Black Girls CHEER.

Opportunities

  • Work with an on the rise organization
  • Create positive change in your cheer community
  • Develop leadership skills and training
  • Collaborate with other ambassadors, affiliates and representatives, and cheerleaders
  • Featured on the Black Girls CHEER website
  • Black Girls Cheer Apparel and Swag Bags

Considerations

  • Must be between the ages of 7-21 as of June 1, 2019
  • Must be a good representation of cheerleading
  • Must currently be involved on a cheerleading team and remain a member for the entire 2019-2020 season.
  • Must not have a commitment to any other organization/company with a similar or like mission as Black Girls Cheer. 

Requirements

Young ladies believing themselves qualified must:
  • Complete the application
  • Upload a cheer photo to your Instagram account, tag @officialblackgirlscheer and use the hashtag #BGCAmbassadorHopeful2019.
  • Failure to complete this portion of the application will result in disqualification from selection. 

Term/Time Commitment

Black Girls CHEER Ambassadors must commit to one year of campaigning. Each Ambassador is required to undergo training before beginning their duties.
